A beach kiosk that grew up
Salty Fin started as a window in the surf club car park with one fryer and a chalkboard. Thirty years on we have a real kitchen, the same chalkboard, and a queue on Friday nights that we are quietly proud of.
Everything is cooked in clean, high-oleic oil, changed daily. The batter is made every morning with local lager. The chips are hand-cut Sebago potatoes, blanched, then fried again to order so they crunch.
Opening hours
Kitchen closes 15 minutes before we do. Public holidays we open late and close early, check this page on the day.

Ordered from the beach, walked up, it was wrapped and waiting. Chips were still crunchy back on the sand which never happens.
Mia, HarboursideFamily Feast on a Friday is our thing now. Four fish, a mountain of chips and it costs less than two burgers on the app.
Daniel, RiversideThe grilled barra is the best around here and the tartare is made in house. You can taste the dill.
